Light Crude goes up by 1.90$ !

The common economics states that as the inventory falls, more pressure is exerted on the supply as the demand for that product is constant and ever increasing. What am I talking about? I am talking about the price of Oil and the price tango that it seems to go into each and every time the Energy department announces to the world that the Inventories have either fallen or risen.
The rise in inventory would make the oil prices to swing the other way about and this time around, the inventory stocks in the United states has fallen by at least 700,000 barrels last week, according to the energy dept. Naturally this has started exerting more pressure on the crude supplies and the factors that can effect the supply of Oil to the United states. Naturally as this news broke out, the immediate effect today is the rise in the price for Light Crude for January delivery which has risen by 1.90$ to 91.92$ a barrel on the NY Mercantile Exchange.

The Oil market is tight as it is with the OPEC not really into making more deliverables than the current content. And at times like this if there is any news of a skirmish in the middle east or another Palestine - Israel conflict, that will have a very resounding impact on the Oil prices or if Bush were to get more hawkish on Iran or the entire Middle east, that will most definitely make the Oil reach for fresh pastures beyond the 105$ range.

What one should remember is that inventories rise and inventories fall, but it is when the inventories fall that one should take into account the other factors like the geo political factors. It is at times like this that the price of the Light Crude as well as the entire Oil market is most vulnerable and with the way that the U.S economy is under right now, we most certainly do not need a 'bullish' Oil market as that would only extend undue influence on the already falling Dollar and may even push it into the Nether world!

The Indian stocks soar to new heights!

Today saw the Indian stocks soar above the 16,000 mark.this cannot all be attributed to the fed slashing the interest rates in the United States.that said,it seems that the bears as far as the Indian stock markets, have gone into hibernaiton and the bulls are getting more and more frisky.with the political situation in India still at catch 22 i wonder if the 16,000 level will be sustained in the days to come, especially if the elections are just round the corner.either way,the exporters are in the seventh heaven, let's hope that this good feel lasts for some time to come!

Gold exchange soon to tap wider in India!

Gold like many other metals has seen volatility in the prices as they swung here and there as a result of the U.S sub primes.but soon Gold will come into its own in the world markets.currently the gold exchange traded funds which opened up in India only in the recent past hopes to soon tap into the rural areas of India.
It is these rural areas that contribute to nearly 60% of India's demand for gold.currently even in Urban areas, the GETF has not taken off fully as of yet but it is soon catching up as a valuable investment.of course one wonders if the traders can make money both ways but that question will be taken up in another post.at the moment the traders and the managers of this fund want the government to ease up the restrictions which will enable greater liquidity in these funds.and all indications are that this will happen anyway and soon at that.as every economy develops and its citizens become richer, they always look for new and different ways to get even more wealthier.funds like the GETF will be much in demand in the very near future!

Will a common currency for asia become a reality?

We all know how the Euro was touted to the public before all the numerous problems cropped up.of course if there was a common currency for the whole of asia, lets call it the "rupee" since most of the aisan countries use one forem of rupee or the other, the consequences of that are to put it simply "earth shattering".
for one if that dream became a reality, half of the worlds population will be represented by a single currency.they will be the most powerful economic powerhouse that this world would have ever seen.and lets not forget that the developing naiotns that comprise asia are all registering huge growth figures not just for one year but year after year.such growth has not been seen either by the europeans or the americans.
the U.S would definitely not want this dream to become a reality but unfortunately for the americans most of the asian nations are slowly but surely realising this dream.it will probably start with a free trade area pact,a huge one,the likes of which has not been seen until now.that done, the next logical step will be a merger of currencies,if that happens,in all reality it would be called the "rupee".but lets face reality, the asian nations have all warred amongst themselves until recently and some of them still carry that resentment.most of this hidden resentment is aimed at the japanese.but these nations like china, korea, phillipines etc must realise that the war was over a long time ago anhd it is indeed time to carve out a new future.
that said,it is high time that they started considering a free trade pace seriously.
China and Japan would probably have to start this off.and i am sure that Russia would also want to be considered a part of asia and would want a piece of the pie if for nothing else other than tho thumb nose at the americans!
such policy decisions would take brave initiatives on the part of all the major asian countries namely India,China,Japan,Russia[if it wants to be part of this] and Korea.australia may choose to be out of this but if this dream were to come about and thy choose to do so,they will be the losers.furthermore a policy decision on the part of India,Russia and China is worrying the U.S to no end.that is the establishment althoough an informal "TRIAD".has the next super bloc been formed?
well all of the above are just surmises, guesses and random thoughts.but so often the rumors become a reality.after all "truth is indeed stranger than ficiton",is it not?
the fact remains that India,China,Japan and Russia are determined to establish a uni polar world.to what lengths will they go to accomplish this?
